Mali Losinj

Mali Lošinj was built in the Italian Renaissance style and it is one of the oldest resorts on the Adriatic Sea – even members of the Habsburg family came here for the vacation. Monasteries, churches, basilicas, and monuments have been preserved here, and you can visit the local city museum to see the antique bronze statue of Greek athlete, Apoxiomen.

The main place of attraction in the city is the Čikat bay with its villas, hotels, and architecture similar to Monte Carlo. You should drop in on the neighbouring tiny isle of Ilovik, which is often used for bathing and recreation by those sailing by.
