Iž Island is located between the islands of Dugi-Otok and Ugljan and is surrounded by the belt of tiny uninhabited isles: Fulija, Knežak, Rutnjak, and others. The main two villages here are Veli Iž and Mali Iž and there are medieval architectural monuments preserved in both: the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul and a castle in Roman style. Local residents are proud of their traditions in pottery, so this is the place to buy earthenware souvenirs and pottery.
