The Blue Cave (Plava Spilja)
Welcome to mystical Plava Špilja. The Blue Cave, or Plava Špilja in Montenegrin, is located on Luštica peninsular, reachable only from the side of the sea. The name of the cave speaks for itself-- the seawater and refracted sunlight bathe the whole interior in glimmering light and dark blues. The cave area is approximately 300 sq. m, and the entrance is fairly big for boats and motor boats – up to 4 meters high and 15 meters wide. When going to Plava Špilja, try to steer clear of cruise ships nearby that may be following the same route with you, otherwise you’ll have to enjoy the cave sights with a crowd. Such magic is best experienced in small groups.
Tivat
The modern, port city of Tirat often serves as the starting point for travelling over Montenegro, as the biggest airport of the country is located here. However, the city has more to offer than just convenience.
First of all, yachtsmen will be impressed by the splendid marina built in place of the old shipyard. Three enchanting islands in the Boka Kotorska Bay are included in Tivat Riviera: the Island of Flowers, the Island of St. Mark and the Island of Our Lady of Mercy. The main sight of the city itself is the medieval Mucha Palace built more than 500 years ago. A picture gallery is now located in one of the five buildings that make up the Palace.
